centrifuge

Centrifuge are now defunct.  They existed between the years of 2001 and 2007, played some gigs, released 2 ep's and a 7" and then fucked off.  They played noisy, loud songs and also the odd melodic one, getting compared to such bands as Sonic Youth, The Pixies, Cave-In and At The Drive-In along the way.  Their final and posthumous release is our label's first,  click here to find out more about it.  We also have the final few copies of their old releases available in our shop.

here's to the atom bomb

We've known these boys since they were but teenagers and seen them grow into the awesome unit that they are now.  It's all built on a love for legendary miserablists such as Joy Division, Tindersticks and The National with a closet fascination for pedal noise like Mogwai and twinkly punk rock like American Football all held together with amazing melodies.  Completely confused by what I've just wrote?  Then you should be getting yourself a copy of their debut EP to educate yourself.

herzoga

Herzoga don't mess about.  They've been going barely a year and have already released a split single on Organ Records of London.  Consisting of ex-members of Princess Headbutt and The Mittens, they play wrongpop in a similar mould to legends such as Pavement and Wire with the added satire and clatter of The Fall plus plenty of noise and feedback for good measure.  We are here to provide you with their excellent second single.

ox scapula

Ox Scapula formed as a bit of a noisy mess-about but ended up making an awesome noisy mess.  The idea was to create klangy, challenging guitar music informed by the likes of Sonic Youth, Polvo, Unwound etc.  They finally finished their first recordings in February 2008 having already played gigs with Kong, This Aint Vegas, Charlottefield & Spy Versus Spy and we decided that they'd be starting off our WLD 7" series by thoroughly hurting our ears.

m s thomason

When we first heard our mate Matt Thomason's material, we were blown away.  He recorded 9 amazing songs of subtlety and feeling, something we've not heard from a singer/songwriter since the likes of Elliott Smith. We released these on his debut album 'Under The Birch Tree.'  Lots of gigs later we are still in awe and proud to present his first slab of vinyl.  It'll be a 7" with 2 brand new songs and a DVD containing the video to one of the songs.

truckdriver jnr

Truckdriver Jnr hail from the small town of Leek in Staffordshire and play crushingly loud and fast Black Flag-esque rock n roll which wanders of into dark, melodic, aching passages a little bit reminiscent of Slint.  It's a difficult one to pigeon hole, lets not waste any more time trying.  Just check out their new EP out on welikedanger now.
